11. Take It Camping
Tin foil is a great tool for camping, which is why a lot of experienced campers always make sure to bring some along the way. It’s great for barbecuing potatoes or canned food. Just wrap whatever you want to heat up in some tin foil and place it right in the campfire. In case of emergencies, tin foil can be used as a signaling tool as it reflects light.
12. Boost your indoor seedlings
Seeds need all the light they can get to grow well indoors. Tin foil can help you amplify the natural light that is available in your home. You can line a small box with tin foil and use it as a base for your seedlings. Because the foil can reflect light (as well as heat), your seedlings will grow faster and better with this simple setup.
13. Painting Helper
Tin foil is very helpful if you are planning to paint your home. You can use it to protect door knobs or light switches from getting in contact with paint. What a great way to save time and effort! One of the main reasons why this is such a great trick is because tin foil can very easily be folded into whatever shape you want. And once it’s folded it does a fantastic way of keeping its shape. Once you are done you can simply remove the foil and any paint that might have dripped onto it.
14. Freeze It
Tin foil can be used for freezing dishes as it blocks off any flow of air which helps food retain its flavours. It also helps keep odors away. Simply wrap whatever you want to freeze in some heavy-duty tin foil. It doesn’t matter whether you want to freeze bread, meat or something else. Tin foil is always ready to help!
15. Easy Breezy Clean-Up
Similar to the oven trick we talked about earlier, tin foil can be used to protect large, hard-to-wash pans from grease, burning and other hard to clean residues. Simply line the bottom of your roasting pan before using it to roast your favourite meat. Once you are done with the cooking, your pan is clean and only requires a bit of rinsing. No more scrubbing needed before the pan can go right back into your cupboard!
