You may feel bad if you eat too much solanine. The taste of potatoes becomes bitter when they turn green, indicating a higher level of alkaloids. The reason people usually recommend getting rid of green potatoes and sprouts because they are dangerous. Green potatoes may make you feel sick to your stomach with diarrhea or nausea. Fever and headache are also possible.
